TL;DR
Project Manager 4 (Nuclear Energy): Managing complex internal and external projects for NuScale's small modular reactor technology with an accent on project execution, earned value management, cost and schedule control, and nuclear design interfaces. Focus on resolving high-risk project challenges, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and delivering first-of-a-kind projects against customer, quality, cost, and schedule objectives.
Location: Full-time onsite at the Houston, Texas office located at 990 Town & Country Blvd. The role requires eligibility to work under US Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810 and may involve local and national travel.
Target salary: $124,400–$150,138 annually. Full salary range: $111,531–$174,446 annually.

What you will do
- Manage planning and execution for complex internal and external nuclear technology projects.
- Establish and maintain project baselines, project management plans, execution strategies, and earned value management processes.
- Coordinate discipline managers, performing organizations, work package managers, and project resources.
- Identify, manage, escalate, and resolve project risks, issues, cost variances, and schedule challenges.
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports covering project performance, earned value metrics, schedule, cost risks, and issue resolution.
- Maintain project procedures and support quality, safety, and timely delivery standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, project management, or a related discipline.
- At least 10 years of experience managing highly complex projects with multiple interfaces.
- Demonstrated application of PMI project management principles and integrated cost and schedule control or ANSI EIA-748-C earned value management practices.
- Experience leading licensed nuclear design projects, with basic knowledge of pressurized water reactor designs.
- Understanding of nuclear development and fabrication of NSSS and reactor components regulated by the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
- Must be eligible to work under Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810.
Nice to have
- Project Management Professional certification or equivalent.
- Project management experience in the nuclear, energy, power plant A/E, power plant EPC, or US Department of Energy nuclear sectors.
