Product Owner III (Developer Tools)

What you will do

• Own the vision, strategy, roadmap, backlog, and measurable outcomes for enterprise developer tools.
• Lead the lifecycle of IDEs, plugins, extensions, developer platforms, and related tooling, including onboarding, upgrades, patching, support, and decommissioning.
• Serve as the voice of developers and prioritize work based on business value, developer experience, security, governance, and operational excellence.
• Partner with Engineering, Architecture, DevOps, Security, Developer Experience, Scrum Masters, and development teams.
• Use adoption, operational, and productivity metrics to improve developer productivity and reduce friction.

Requirements

• Product Owner, Product Manager, Engineering Manager, or similar technology leadership experience.
• Experience leading technical teams and complex cross-functional initiatives.
• Software engineering or development background with a strong understanding of developer workflows.
• Experience with developer tools such as IntelliJ, VS Code, Visual Studio, PyCharm, GitHub, Docker, or Postman.
• Knowledge of developer experience, internal developer platforms, self-service tooling, platform engineering, software governance, licensing, security, and risk management.
• Bachelor’s degree and typically 5+ years of industry-relevant experience, or a comparable combination of education and experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with Agile delivery, Scrum, backlog management tools such as JIRA, UX design, data visualization, and design thinking.
• Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
