Transportation Area Manager (Supply Chain/Logistics)

Location: RNO4 - Reno, NV - Milan Dr; onsite distribution center work with occasional overtime, evenings, weekends, and other non-standard hours as required.

What you will do

• Lead and develop warehouse associates and operations leads to achieve daily goals.
• Own sortation, dock management, and shipping department operations.
• Coordinate with HR, Safety, Customer Service, and other operations leaders to drive results.
• Resolve operational and personnel issues affecting the functional area.
• Implement process improvements and workload-efficiency mechanisms.
• Use workload-planning tools and investigate discrepancies to ensure orders meet fulfillment and quality standards.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience with automated sortation systems, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and/or Dock Management platforms in a high-volume facility.
• Previous leadership experience and the ability to manage carriers and drivers daily.
• Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience.
• Strong organizational, time-management, communication, interpersonal, and basic clerical and data-entry skills.
• Ability to work independently, build effective working relationships, make basic mathematical calculations, and attend to details accurately.
• Ability to work constructively under stress and pressure, meet deadlines, and operate with minimal supervision.
• Ability to use relevant material-handling equipment, including forklifts, and transport up to 20 lbs.
• Ability to work in a distribution center with varying heights, temperatures, and moderate consistent noise levels.

Nice to have

• Proficiency with Google Workspace and/or Microsoft Office Suite.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain/Logistics, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
• Experience with process improvement, Lean Six Sigma, and/or Kaizen.
