Network Engineer (MPLS)

Location: Orlando, Florida, United States; hybrid work schedule. The role includes occasional access to construction sites and other safety-sensitive areas.

Salary: $108,000–$135,000 annually, commensurate with experience.

What you will do

• Design, deploy, manage, monitor, and optimize LAN, WLAN, and WAN environments.
• Configure and install switches, routers, next-generation firewalls, load balancers, wireless controllers, and access points.
• Test operating system patches, cybersecurity changes, and infrastructure upgrades in a network lab before production deployment.
• Troubleshoot escalated issues across cloud and local infrastructure and automate recurring network operations.
• Lead network projects, budgets, vendor coordination, stakeholder communication, and equipment replacement planning.
• Maintain network documentation, architecture diagrams, inventories, security controls, and disaster recovery materials while mentoring other team members.

Requirements

• Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of application. Employment visa sponsorship is not available.
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, computer engineering, management information systems, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education, certifications, and experience.
• At least five years of progressive experience in an IT network environment, including at least three years managing networks and coordinating network projects.
• Experience troubleshooting wired and wireless networks and configuring switches, routers, firewalls, and load balancers.
• Knowledge of network architecture, access control, TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, Spanning Tree, monitoring tools, SIEM, scripting, and network operating systems.
• Ability to work independently, troubleshoot effectively, document network designs, manage technical projects, and mentor entry- and intermediate-level staff.

Nice to have

• Experience with public or government cloud network environments.
• Experience in NERC/CIP-regulated or other critical-infrastructure environments.
• Experience with Cisco and Fortinet equipment.
• CCNA, CCNP, CCDP, or another professional networking certification.
