Lead File Handler (Industrial Disease)

What you will do

• Manage a personal caseload of NIHL and other industrial disease claims.
• Review documents and evidence, handle disclosure, prepare reports, and progress claims.
• Investigate matters with insurers and insureds, assess witness statements, and instruct and liaise with experts.
• Attend court appointments, conferences, and trials while meeting deadlines and court timetables.
• Maintain effective relationships and communication with clients, stakeholders, and colleagues.
• Mentor Assistant File Handlers and support team strategy, training, innovation, and process improvement.

Requirements

• Strong technical proficiency in NIHL disease claims.
• Experience in other disease matters is beneficial.
• Strong negotiation, interpersonal, listening, and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritise, organise, and work under pressure with attention to detail.
• Proactive approach to knowledge sharing, training, and team development.
• Ability to ensure work aligns with SRA Standards & Regulations and Keoghs Values.
