State Adherence Specialist I (Healthcare Compliance)

Location: Douglasville, Georgia, United States. Hybrid schedule: 3 days in the Douglasville office and 2 days remote, Monday through Friday, 9AM–6PM Eastern Time.

Salary: $20.34–$24.00 USD per hour.

What you will do

• Monitor administrative compliance for assigned member and caregiver cases throughout the Pre-Care and On-Care lifecycle.
• Validate authorization, eligibility, background and registry screenings, qualifying relationships, co-residence, and onboarding documentation.
• Review enrollment and ongoing compliance records, including required contacts, in-home visits, caregiver training, CPR certification, competency examinations, and annual renewals.
• Maintain emergency and backup-care plans and coordinate corrections for documentation deficiencies.
• Audit member, caregiver, and incident records and support internal and external audits.
• Research regulatory questions, escalate risks, and recommend improvements to compliance workflows and documentation quality.

Requirements

• Strong attention to detail, organization, integrity, accountability, and ethical decision-making.
• Ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures, program requirements, and regulatory guidance.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and collaborate with Operations, Compliance, the RN clinical team, and internal leadership.
• Ability to maintain strict adherence to HIPAA, confidentiality standards, HCBS requirements, Georgia Medicaid, EDWP, SFC, payer, and company requirements.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Salesforce, and electronic document management systems is preferred.
• Associate’s degree preferred; equivalent experience may be considered. Bilingual Spanish or another language is a plus.

Nice to have

• 0–2 years of experience in healthcare operations, compliance, onboarding, quality assurance, medical records, or related administrative work.
• Experience in a regulated healthcare environment or with confidential, audit-ready records.
• Knowledge of Georgia Medicaid, EDWP, CCSP/SOURCE, SFC, and HCBS requirements.
• Experience monitoring high-volume compliance deadlines and coordinating corrective actions.
