Senior Procurement Specialist (Biotech)

What you will do

• Coordinate end-to-end procurement activities, including requisitions, sourcing, supplier selection, onboarding, purchase orders, and transaction closeout.
• Execute RFIs, RFQs, RFPs, competitive bids, supplier evaluations, and award decisions.
• Support negotiations and contract reviews covering pricing, service levels, delivery and payment terms, renewals, statements of work, subscriptions, and professional services.
• Monitor supplier performance, spend, contract expirations, supplier risk, and corrective-action plans.
• Maintain procurement controls and complete, audit-ready documentation across sourcing, approvals, contracts, purchase orders, and transactions.
• Resolve purchase order, receipt, pricing, invoice, and payment exceptions while improving workflows through technology, automation, analytics, and AI-enabled capabilities.

Requirements

• BA/BS degree or equivalent education and relevant experience.
• 3–5 years of progressively responsible experience in procurement, purchasing, sourcing, supplier management, or a related discipline.
• Experience with high-volume purchasing, competitive bidding, commercial negotiations, supplier management, and contract terms.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, analytical, and documentation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience analyzing supplier proposals, spend data, pricing models, and large transactional datasets.
• Experience with NetSuite purchasing, vendor, and reporting workflows; experience in biotech, healthcare, life sciences, or another regulated industry.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of SOC 2 reports, information-security assessments, privacy reviews, business-continuity reviews, and third-party risk management.
• Lean Six Sigma, CPSM, C.P.M., CSCP, CIPS, or an equivalent procurement or supply-chain certification.
