Director, Financial Systems (AI)

Salary: $198,500–$220,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Lead, coach, and prioritize the financial systems team across ERP, HRIS, reporting and BI, close and controls, and integration platforms.
• Own production operations, including month-end and quarter-end close support, IT service management tickets, vendor escalations, and critical processing windows.
• Govern ERP and HRIS access, including roles, permissions, segregation of duties, Delegation of Authority, and user access reviews.
• Lead internal and external audit support, control walkthroughs, evidence collection, change reviews, and financial systems administration.
• Own the financial systems roadmap and improve system performance through configuration, workflow design, automation, and integration optimization.
• Manage direct reports and deliver automation and AI use cases for close, reporting, reconciliation, and controls with appropriate security and auditability safeguards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in information systems, accounting, finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of experience designing, implementing, and operating ERP and finance systems in a production and controls-driven environment.
• Hands-on NetSuite experience with configuration, workflows, roles and permissions, reporting, integrations, troubleshooting, and production support.
• 5+ years leading financial systems administrators, analysts, developers, or similar roles, including coaching, performance management, and work allocation.
• Experience supporting systems in a SOX-controlled public-company environment, including change management, access governance, user access reviews, audit support, and segregation of duties.
• Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP processes, including financial close, procure-to-pay, payroll, reporting, and integrations with HRIS, expense, reporting, and iPaaS platforms.

Nice to have

• Experience delivering automation or system optimization with measurable improvements to close, controls, or user experience.
• Familiarity with AI-enabled finance tools, including automation, anomaly detection, or reporting assistants.
