Director, Finance Systems (AI)

Location: Remote, based in the United States or Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Listed locations include Austin, Texas; Boston, Massachusetts; and Santa Clara, California.

Compensation: $100,000–$500,000, including base and variable compensation targets.

What you will do

• Define and lead the Finance Systems strategy, operating model, architecture, and roadmap.
• Own ERP and financial systems, including integrations with HR, payroll, procurement, banking, tax, planning, CRM, supply chain, and operational platforms.
• Redesign and automate finance processes across record-to-report, procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, revenue, inventory, cost accounting, treasury, tax, payroll accounting, planning, and reporting.
• Develop an AI-forward Finance roadmap covering generative AI, intelligent workflows, anomaly detection, automated reconciliation, and predictive analytics.
• Build reliable, traceable Finance data architecture in partnership with Data and Analytics teams.
• Lead cross-functional transformation programs, embed controls into workflows, and build a high-performing Finance Systems organization.

Requirements

• Deep understanding of finance and accounting processes, including financial close, revenue recognition, inventory accounting, and financial planning.
• Expertise in technology, data, integrations, APIs, master data, security, and system design.
• 10+ years of experience in Finance Systems, Accounting Systems, Finance Transformation, Enterprise Applications, or related disciplines.
• 5+ years leading teams, major systems programs, or enterprise transformation initiatives.
• Experience with enterprise ERP and financial platforms such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Workday, or equivalent.
• Ability to work remotely from the United States or Toronto, Canada; employment is contingent on eligibility to access U.S. export-controlled technology.

Nice to have

• Experience in technology, semiconductors, hardware, manufacturing, AI infrastructure, or another complex global operating environment.
• Experience applying AI, workflow automation, analytics, or predictive technologies to Finance operations.
