2nd Shift Machine Operator - Technical (Manufacturing)

Location: Hildebran, North Carolina, United States. Onsite second-shift schedule: Monday–Thursday, 3:30 p.m.–2:00 a.m.; Fridays as needed.

What you will do

• Set up, load, operate, diagnose, debug, and troubleshoot complex manufacturing equipment and automated machinery.
• Maintain machinery and tools, including preventive and proactive technical maintenance.
• Read dimensional drawings, routings, specifications, and bills of material to produce parts to quality standards.
• Perform SPC and quality checks using calipers, gauges, tape measures, and other measuring devices.
• Complete production records, follow standard work instructions, and maintain a clean and safe 5S environment.
• Rotate through workstations, support improvement activities, train others, and work overtime or varied hours when needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, or work experience demonstrating competency.
• At least one year of experience operating machinery in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience reading dimensional production drawings and specifications.
• Experience using information-system computer databases.
• Basic math skills and the ability to use required measuring tools and devices.
• Ability to stand and walk throughout the shift and lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.

• Advanced math skills related to advanced systems or processes, including geometric dimensional tolerances.
• Experience developing, performing, and teaching preventive or proactive technical maintenance.
• Ability to identify, lead, and teach others in a changing work environment.
