What you will do

• Set up and operate saws, waterjet equipment, grinders, drills, and other machining tools to create precision samples and modify fixtures.
• Read and interpret specifications, drawings, and work orders to meet required tolerances.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and report issues requiring repair.
• Inspect machined samples and fixtures under leadership supervision to verify quality requirements.
• Collaborate with colleagues to troubleshoot issues and adjust machining processes.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory work area while following safety procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0–1 years of experience in a machine shop environment.
• Problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
• Working knowledge of hand tools, Good Laboratory Practices, laboratory ISO procedures, and process safety.
• Ability to occasionally lift objects weighing up to 55 pounds and perform standing, walking, reaching, crouching, and similar physical activities.
• Must qualify as a U.S. Person under ITAR requirements, including U.S. citizenship or nationality, lawful permanent residence, refugee status, or asylum status in the United States.
