Machine Operator II (Second Shift)

Location: Hartselle, Alabama, USA. Onsite work at Hartselle Wood Reels on the second shift, 2:00 p.m.–6:00 a.m.

Pay: $21.58 per hour plus a $1 shift differential.

What you will do

• Operate industrial equipment, including saws, routers, nailers, spindles, scanners, stackers, and conveyors.
• Process lumber from raw material to finished components for wood reels used to package wire and cable.
• Make process adjustments and monitor and report product quality.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area while following quality and safety policies.
• Collaborate with the production team and support other departments as needed.

Requirements

• At least one year of machine operating experience in an industrial environment.
• Knowledge of hand tools and their safe use for operating, adjusting, and maintaining production equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for at least eight hours.
• Ability to read and understand manufacturing instructions, troubleshoot problems, and manage multiple tasks.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a fast-paced team.

• Working knowledge of 5S.
