Carrier Manager (Transportation Management)

Location: Hybrid role based in Exton, Pennsylvania, or Newport, Kentucky, United States

What you will do

• Manage carrier performance, including compliance, tender acceptance, on-time service, visibility, bid compliance, and costs outside contracted rates.
• Build and maintain strong carrier relationships while supporting account operations, KPI reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead end-to-end route guide management, including bids, post-bid analytics, carrier onboarding, and performance management.
• Analyze customer, bid, and spot freight data to identify sourcing needs and cost-effective transportation solutions.
• Support transportation procurement events, RFPs, and mini-bids, and recommend carriers based on network and market analysis.
• Coordinate onsite and virtual carrier meetings and support EDI and Carrier Portal setup.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least one year of transportation experience managing truckload carrier performance and transportation cost efficiency.
• Knowledge of the truckload industry, major carriers, transportation cost drivers, and best practices.
• Knowledge of federal transportation regulations, including DOT, FMCSA, CSA, and HOS.
• Ability to analyze transportation data and support procurement and carrier performance decisions.
• No immigration sponsorship or transfer is available for this role.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
• Three or more years of experience analyzing and managing truckload transportation at a shipper, carrier, or 3PL.
• Expertise in transportation market trends and online bidding tools.
• High-level knowledge of Tableau and advanced knowledge of Google Workspace.
