Sr. Manager, Domestic Transportation (Remote)

Location: Remote; Flex Designation: Anywhere. Corporate address: Calabasas, California. Travel up to 25%.

Salary: $126,700–$190,100 annually, depending on location, knowledge, skills, education, and experience. Eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Lead domestic inbound and outbound transportation, dedicated transportation, carrier, and 3PL operations.
• Drive improvements in transportation cost, service levels, delivery performance, quality, and operational efficiency.
• Lead transportation sourcing, procurement, contract negotiations, equipment research, and partner selection.
• Manage strategic relationships with carriers and 3PLs, including performance monitoring, cost oversight, and issue resolution.
• Establish transportation KPIs and reporting, analyze operational and financial data, and implement corrective actions.
• Manage budgets, forecasts, expenditures, P&L performance, strategic initiatives, and organizational change.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Business Management, or a related field.
• 7+ years of management experience in domestic transportation for a retailer or manufacturer.
• 10+ years of experience with 3PL, ocean carriers, truckload, LTL, intermodal, and small-package or parcel transportation.
• In-depth knowledge of international and domestic transportation industry best practices and outsourced transportation management.
• Experience developing and mentoring direct reports, leading fast-paced operations, and collaborating cross-functionally.
• Advanced computer and analytical skills with strong communication, presentation, problem-solving, planning, and decision-making abilities.
