Quality Engineer - Metrology (Manufacturing): Developing and validating measurement methods and systems for manufacturing quality with an accent on advanced metrology, measurement capability, and defect prevention. Location: On-site five days a week in Pontiac, Illinois, United States. Domestic relocation assistance is available.
Salary: $97,530–$146,290 per year.

What you will do
- Develop, validate, and maintain measurement methods and programs for CMMs, optical systems, surface roughness equipment, vision systems, and other advanced metrology technologies.
- Conduct Measurement System Analysis activities, including Gage R&R, bias, linearity, stability, and correlation studies.
- Lead gauge correlation activities across production, suppliers, laboratories, and customers to establish measurement alignment and data credibility.
- Analyze measurement-related non-conformances and support root-cause corrective-action investigations.
- Develop metrology procedures, work instructions, calibration requirements, standards, and quality-system documentation.
- Provide technical leadership on GD&T, surface finish, measurement uncertainty, technology evaluation, audits, and capital equipment projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Metrology, Manufacturing, Quality, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience with dimensional metrology, measurement-system capability, measurement uncertainty, and statistical measurement analysis.
- Proficiency with CMMs, optical and vision measurement systems, surface roughness equipment, and related technologies.
- Knowledge of GD&T, measurement strategy, gauge selection, data integrity, and acceptance criteria.
- Ability to collaborate with Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations, Supplier Quality, suppliers, and customers.
- Visa sponsorship is not available; the position requires on-site work five days per week in Pontiac, Illinois.
Nice to have
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer or Certified Quality Auditor certification.
- ISO/IATF 16949 quality management systems experience.
- Six Sigma Black Belt or Master Black Belt certification.
