Quality Inspector (Manufacturing)

Location: 1 Mill St, Batavia, New York, United States; onsite, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM

What you will do

• Inspect incoming raw materials and in-process products using sampling plans, engineering prints, and metrology equipment.
• Perform first-piece inspections, dimensional layouts, PPAP activities, dock audits, and process audits.
• Investigate defective parts, determine defect causes, and support product containment and on-site sorting.
• Operate and program CMM equipment and use calipers, micrometers, optical comparators, microscopes, and gauges.
• Maintain inspection records, gauge control and calibration, master bubbles, inspection plans, and revision control.
• Support Quality, Production, PPE, and Maintenance teams while helping ensure compliance with IATF-16949 and ISO 14001/45001.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3–5 years of quality inspection experience required.
• Blueprint reading, GD&T, and metrology experience.
• Knowledge of PPAP and GP-12/Safe Launch activities.
• Experience with inspection tools, dimensional measurement, and quality documentation.
• Knowledge of calendar, email, internet, and spreadsheet software; familiarity with SolidWorks and Microsoft Access.
