TL;DR
Legal Advisor (Fintech): Drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and managing technology and financial services agreements across EU, US, UK, and Ukrainian jurisdictions with an accent on software licensing, SaaS, intellectual property, privacy, and regulatory compliance. Focus on conducting legal research and due diligence, preparing legal opinions, assessing contractual risks, and supporting corporate, sales, and business development processes.

What you will do
- Draft services, software development, and software license agreements, primarily in English.
- Review, negotiate, amend, and support the execution of contracts while summarizing obligations and assessing risks.
- Conduct document due diligence, legal research, compliance reviews, and prepare legal opinions for business needs.
- Support corporate procedures and compliance with local legislation in Ukraine and other jurisdictions.
- Assist business development with RFPs and sales with supplier onboarding and customer due diligence.
- Protect intellectual property, including software and new-product licensing rights.
Requirements
- Higher legal education and 5+ years of relevant experience, preferably including at least 2 years in IT.
- Fluent English, including legal drafting and negotiations, is required.
- Experience with EU and US jurisdictions.
- Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills, including software development and licensing agreements.
- Experience with SaaS, cloud and website compliance, intellectual property, security, privacy, KYC, and related compliance matters.
- Experience preparing legal opinions, conducting legal research, supporting RFPs, and handling customer due diligence.

- Open-source licensing experience.
- Experience with complex contract negotiations.
- Background in fintech, financial services, or regulated technology.
