What you will do

• Teach undergraduate nursing courses in the RN to BSN and Concurrent Enrollment programs.
• Support registered nurses completing BSN degrees and students completing associate degree and BSN requirements concurrently.
• Provide academic support, mentoring, and guidance to nursing students from diverse backgrounds.
• Integrate evidence-based practice, quality and safety, professional communication, leadership, and clinical decision-making into instruction.
• Participate in curriculum development, program assessment, continuous improvement, recruitment, retention, and student progression initiatives.
• Collaborate with nursing faculty, advisors, college leadership, community colleges, healthcare organizations, clinical partners, and regional stakeholders.

Requirements

• Master of Science in Nursing or a doctoral degree in nursing or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
• Active, unencumbered Texas Registered Nurse license or eligibility to obtain Texas RN licensure before employment.
• Professional nursing experience and the ability to teach and mentor students.
• Ability to teach in online, traditional, or other assigned instructional formats.
• Willingness to participate in Nursing Program, College, and University committees and assigned service.
• Employment is contingent on credential verification and completion of a criminal history check.

Nice to have

• Doctor of Nursing Practice, PhD in Nursing, EdD, or another appropriate terminal degree.
• Teaching experience in BSN, RN to BSN, Concurrent Enrollment, or other nursing education programs.
• Experience with online learning, curriculum development, program evaluation, assessment, nursing accreditation, advising, mentoring, retention, or progression.
• Knowledge of professional nursing standards, healthcare technology, and contemporary nursing practice.
