TL;DR
Capacity Analyst – Fabrication (Manufacturing Analytics): Developing and maintaining fabrication capacity models, databases, dashboards, and decision-support tools with an accent on capacity planning, demand analysis, bottleneck identification, and operational reporting. Focus on translating forecasts into capacity requirements, analyzing utilization and constraints, and building automated analytics solutions with AI-assisted technologies.

Location: Remote - USA; based at any fabrication location, with hybrid work preferred and remote work considered. Limited travel of less than 10% may be required.

What you will do

  • Maintain and validate fabrication capacity data across facilities, processes, equipment, labor types, and capabilities.
  • Develop capacity models for current, future, and constrained operating scenarios, including demand forecasts, response curves, and what-if analysis.
  • Monitor facility load, utilization, throughput, backlog, bottlenecks, and emerging capacity constraints.
  • Provide recommendations for load balancing, make-versus-where decisions, insource/outsource evaluations, capacity expansion, and network optimization.
  • Build and maintain capacity databases, analytical datasets, dashboards, standardized templates, and automated reporting workflows.
  • Partner with fabrication, materials, supply chain, operations, engineering, planning, sales and other functions on reporting, Lean initiatives, root-cause analysis, and decision support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in manufacturing, fabrication, industrial planning, operations analytics, or a related environment.
  • Experience with capacity planning, production planning, manufacturing analytics, business intelligence, and operational datasets.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong analytical, communication, problem-solving, and data management abilities.
  • Understanding of Lean manufacturing, Theory of Constraints, and capacity management principles.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work full-time in the applicable country without employer-sponsored immigration support.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Qlik Cloud, Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI platforms.
  • Experience developing dashboards, analytical models, automated workflows, and decision-support tools.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems such as M3, BPCS, Oracle, or SAP.
  • Experience using AI-assisted tools for analytics, reporting, automation, or decision-making.
