General Liability Claim Representative

Annual base salary: $67,000–$110,600

What you will do

• Handle general liability claims, including customer contact, coverage review, investigation, evaluation, reserving, negotiation, and resolution.
• Communicate with policyholders, claimants, providers, and other stakeholders to gather information and provide updates.
• Determine claim eligibility, coverage, liability, and settlement amounts in line with company policies and state regulations.
• Maintain accurate and complete claim-file documentation and transaction records.
• Identify and escalate potential fraud or complex claims for further investigation.
• Coordinate with investigators, legal teams, and customer service as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Three years of insurance claims experience, preferably in general liability claims.
• At least one year of bodily injury liability claim handling experience, one year of liability claim experience, or successful completion of the hirify.global Claim Representative training program.
• Experience with claims management and software systems.
• Strong knowledge of insurance principles and terminology, analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to negotiate settlements.
• Insurance license(s) may be required and generally must be obtained within three months of starting, with ongoing continuing education.
