Plant Operator (Industrial Gases)

Location: Kingsport, Tennessee, United States. Onsite plant role with a Monday–Friday morning schedule and flexibility for shifts and overtime as needed.

Industrial, medical, and specialty gas supplier providing gas products, safety products, ammonia products, and process chemicals across the United States.

What you will do

• Examine, test, fill, and weigh compressed and liquefied gas cylinders according to company procedures and applicable regulations.
• Operate and maintain compressors, pumps, filling stations, forklifts, and other production equipment.
• Inspect equipment, perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and help maintain reliable production.
• Handle, load, unload, and transport cylinders while completing filling and quality checks.
• Maintain records of equipment maintenance, cylinder tracking, and production activities.
• Participate in safety meetings and training while maintaining a clean and organized facility.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in plant operations, industrial maintenance, or a related field is preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and equipment troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to operate a forklift safely and efficiently.
• Attention to detail, organizational skills, teamwork, and effective communication.
• Commitment to safety procedures and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
