Lead Plant Operator - Renewable Natural Gas (Emerald)

Location: Northville, Michigan, United States; onsite at the Emerald RNG facility

Salary: $38.00–$44.00 per hour, with a bonus for eligible positions.

What you will do

• Lead day-to-day operations of the renewable natural gas plant and take ownership of plant performance.
• Operate, monitor, adjust, troubleshoot, and repair blowers, gas pretreatment, chilling, CO2 and nitrogen removal, oxygen removal, and compression equipment.
• Coordinate maintenance activities, contractors, vendors, preventive maintenance, inventory, and outage planning.
• Provide safety leadership, review LOTO and JHA processes, report incidents and near misses, and enforce safe work practices.
• Manage operator schedules, shift coverage, callout rotations, and operator training and support.
• Maintain production, equipment, service, environmental, and operational records while monitoring equipment health and plant efficiency.

Requirements

• Seven or more years of renewable energy experience preferred.
• Experience with pumps, blowers, air compressors, gas compressor operations and maintenance, or similar heavy equipment.
• Strong mechanical skills, general troubleshooting ability, basic electrical knowledge, and basic process knowledge.
• Ability to maintain detailed records and logs and use Microsoft Office.
• Current, valid, unrestricted driver’s license required.
• Ability to work onsite in Northville, work 40–50 hours per week as needed, cover occasional nights and weekends, and participate in rolling 24/7 callout schedules.
