Production Operator (Manufacturing)

Location: Fully onsite in Hazlet, New Jersey, USA, working the first shift

What you will do

• Set up, operate, monitor, and shut down manufacturing machinery, including extruders and computer-controlled tools.
• Support manufacturing, packaging, and other production-line operations, including handling heavy machinery.
• Inspect finished products using tools such as automatic optical inspectors to verify specifications.
• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot basic equipment malfunctions, and keep the work area clean.
• Monitor production processes to improve performance, reduce waste, minimize downtime, and maintain accurate production records.
• Follow safety protocols and health regulations while communicating issues to supervisors and colleagues.

Requirements

• Ability to read blueprints, understand technical manuals, and operate manufacturing machinery.
• Strong attention to detail and precision when inspecting parts and monitoring equipment.
• Ability to weigh ingredients accurately and use tools such as floor scales and flow meters.
• Basic equipment troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment and report issues clearly.
