Engineering Program Manager (Aerospace) (Autonomous Aircraft): Leading the engineering scope, schedule, development cost, integration, ground testing, and flight testing of an autonomous aircraft program with an accent on cross-disciplinary coordination across aerodynamics, structures, avionics, GNC, propulsion, mission systems, and autonomy. Focus on maintaining the engineering baseline, resolving technical trade-offs, managing program risks and reviews, and delivering reliable status to program leadership and customer engineering staff.

Location: Hybrid, with on-site work in Ottawa or Montreal, Canada

What you will do

  • Own the engineering scope, schedule, development cost, and risk baseline for the ACP aircraft.
  • Define and manage the engineering work across aerodynamics, structures, avionics, GNC, propulsion, mission systems, and autonomy.
  • Carry the aircraft program from concept and requirements through integration, ground testing, and flight testing.
  • Maintain the integrated program schedule and risk register, resolving cross-disciplinary conflicts before they become schedule risks.
  • Ensure completion of SRR, SDR, PDR, and CDR reviews and their supporting data packages.
  • Manage engineering subcontractors and development partners, and provide engineering inputs for manufacturing, procurement, partnerships, and customer reporting.

Requirements

  • 10+ years progressing complex technical programs in aerospace or defence with authority over scope, schedule, and cost.
  • Technical fluency across multiple engineering disciplines and experience carrying programs from concept through flight test or fielding.
  • Experience briefing status, risks, and trade-offs to senior leadership and customer technical staff.
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain a Canadian security clearance at Secret level or higher.
  • Engineering degree.
  • Experience with integrated master schedules and program tools such as MS Project, JIRA, Confluence, or Smartsheet.

Nice to have

  • Experience with an uncrewed or autonomous aircraft program.
  • Supplier and technology-partner management experience on a flight hardware program.
  • PMP or equivalent program management certification.
  • Exposure to RCAF, DND, or NATO airworthiness pathways for uncrewed systems.
