Location: Long Beach, California, United States; based at the global headquarters.

Base salary: $124,800–$171,600 USD annually. Total compensation including equity: $157,300–$228,875 USD annually.

What you will do

  • Develop automated testing software supporting avionics and satellite test programs.
  • Collaborate with hardware design engineers on efficient acceptance and qualification test strategies.
  • Support the design and development of spaceflight hardware with improved design for testability and manufacturability.
  • Support and improve manufacturing and production software tools.
  • Contribute to engineering, test, and business processes that support company growth and production capability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or another technical discipline.
  • 8+ years of Python programming experience with mid- or large-scale applications.
  • 8+ years of experience in electronics test engineering, spacecraft systems engineering, or hardware development.
  • Experience developing software on Linux.
  • Understanding of electrical test equipment, test procedures, data acquisition systems, and instrumentation.
  • U.S. citizenship is required due to program requirements. U.S. office roles are subject to ITAR eligibility requirements.

Nice to have

  • Space industry experience in spacecraft integration or testing.
  • Experience with TCP/UDP, serial communication, or similar protocols.
  • Experience with software unit testing using pytest or Robot Framework.
  • Experience in a hardware or spacecraft production environment.
  • Experience with JavaScript or TypeScript.
