Spacecraft Testbed Engineer

What you will do

• Develop and construct testbeds for vehicle mission simulations.
• Lead integration of avionics electrical systems, simulation hardware and software, and supporting equipment.
• Install harnesses, interface devices, and adapters connecting vehicle avionics with data acquisition and control hardware.
• Design, fabricate, assemble, and validate custom load boards and electrical test interfaces.
• Deploy full-stack test programs to validate software and hardware revisions.
• Collaborate with Software and GNC teams to improve test and deployment pipelines.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience with hardware-in-the-loop testing, hardware-software integration, or embedded systems testing.
• Hands-on experience with power supplies, oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, signal generators, and electronic loads.
• Experience with Bash, Python, or other scripting languages.
• Must be eligible to work with U.S. Government-regulated space technology under ITAR requirements: U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual, or eligible to obtain the required authorizations.

Nice to have

• Five or more years of experience developing test systems for embedded or avionics systems.
• Strong hardware debugging skills across analog and digital systems, plus software debugging with Python and C++.
• Familiarity with Linux-based development and deployment environments.
• Experience with networking, including TCP/IP, serial protocols, and remote hardware control.
• Knowledge of Grafana, InfluxDB, or similar logging and monitoring systems.
