Specialist, Controlling Main System Teams (Automotive)

Location: Hybrid role based in Charlotte, North Carolina, or Novi, Michigan, with 3 days per week in the office. Regular in-person meetings and events are required, along with domestic and international travel of approximately 1–10%.

Salary: $90,000–$112,500 annual base salary, plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus.

What you will do

• Monitor forecasted product business case status against targets for main vehicle systems.
• Prepare financial reporting, business case calculations, scenarios, and recommendations for leadership and cross-functional teams.
• Use data to identify cost-reduction opportunities, process inefficiencies, and decision-making bottlenecks.
• Support timely project decisions and ensure product development targets remain aligned with cost and timing constraints.
• Prepare finance-related working packages and administer the main controlling system FAKIS.
• Coordinate with Volkswagen AG IT administration and conduct ad hoc analyses for strategic topics.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 4+ years of experience in finance, project steering, engineering, purchasing, production, or a related area.
• Advanced Excel proficiency, including financial modeling, macro generation, business case evaluation, scenario and sensitivity analysis, and Power BI.
• Strong analytical, data visualization, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of business process management, organization, automotive technology, component costs, production, market trends, and automotive processes.
• Ability to work in the office 3 days per week in Charlotte or Novi and travel domestically and internationally; a passport is required.
