Auto Damage Trainee (Field)

Location: Trenton, NJ, with field responsibility for the Trenton, NJ and Philadelphia, PA area; this is not a remote role. The trainee program includes 3 weeks at the Ashburn, VA training facility and 2 weeks at a field training center in NY, TX, or CA.

Salary: $32.05 per hour / $64,575 annually; published range of $32.05–$50.36.

What you will do

• Inspect vehicles and assess accident-related damage.
• Review insurance contracts and write vehicle repair estimates.
• Negotiate equitable settlements and resolve customer concerns.
• Manage rental cars and coordinate with body shops, rental companies, and parts providers.
• Consult with involved parties and support a positive customer experience.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required; a college degree is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license meeting company underwriting guidelines required.
• Strong customer service, interpersonal, problem-solving, empathy, organization, and multitasking skills.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Customer-facing or high-volume call-center experience with KPIs is preferred.
• An active adjuster license is preferred; training and exam fees are provided.

Hiring process

• Selected trainees complete 3 weeks of required hands-on training in Ashburn, Virginia, followed by 2 weeks at a field training center.
