Workday Financial Systems Manager (Workday)

What you will do

• Own and communicate the Workday Financials vision, roadmap, release evaluation, and value realization strategy.
• Lead complex Workday initiatives and company projects that affect the Workday environment, including planning, sprint coordination, metrics tracking, and status reporting.
• Partner with finance, accounting, integration, development, and platform teams to identify needs, assess impacts, and improve finance processes.
• Build a structured Workday user group to collect ideas, shape priorities, and create a pipeline of initiatives.
• Translate stakeholder needs into requirements and user stories, and drive training, enablement, and adoption of new capabilities.
• Present roadmap recommendations and prioritization decisions to Controllers, CFO-level leadership, and the FINs Steering Committee.

Requirements

• Four-year degree in accounting, finance, information systems management, or equivalent experience.
• At least five years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, or financial systems roles.
• Familiarity with Workday Financials modules, including Financial Accounting, Procurement, Expenses, Reporting & Analytics, Prism, or Adaptive.
• Background in accounting or finance, with working knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Experience coordinating or leading projects, supporting multiple concurrent initiatives, and communicating with senior leadership.
• Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, product-ownership, Agile, and change-management capabilities.

• Hands-on Workday Financials experience.
• Formal Agile or product-ownership experience.
• Deeper Workday configuration expertise.
