Manager Software Engineering

Location: Virtual, United States; domestic travel required once per year.

What you will do

• Lead and manage a Product Engineering team responsible for search functionality.
• Set team goals, coach direct reports, support professional development, and remove delivery blockers.
• Oversee the full software development lifecycle using agile, CI/CD, and automation practices.
• Establish engineering standards, coding practices, operational excellence frameworks, and performance KPIs.
• Partner with product managers, architects, and leadership on technical roadmaps, priorities, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Recruit, hire, onboard, and support new team members while ensuring timely delivery of scalable features.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent directly related experience.
• At least 10 years of progressively responsible software engineering and development experience.
• At least 2 years of management experience leading direct reports.
• Experience with agile methodologies, team leadership, strategic and tactical management, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, business judgment, adaptability, and results-oriented execution.
• Ability to work virtually in the United States, attend camera-on virtual meetings, and travel domestically once per year.
