Manufacturing Engineering Project Manager (Medical Imaging)

Location: Rochester, NY, US; residence in the Rochester area and daily onsite presence at the manufacturing facility required

Salary: $110,000–$138,000 annual base salary

What you will do

• Lead cross-functional manufacturing engineering projects from initiation through completion, including new product implementations, product enhancements, features, options, and manufacturing workflow improvements.
• Develop and maintain project plans covering scope, milestones, dependencies, resources, budgets, quality objectives, and risk mitigation.
• Coordinate engineering, manufacturing operations, planning, purchasing, quality, supply chain, and R&D teams.
• Track project progress, risks, bottlenecks, actions, decisions, and dependencies while driving timely issue resolution.
• Facilitate manufacturing meetings, project reviews, governance, reporting, and stakeholder communication.
• Support portfolio prioritization, resource planning, process improvements, change management, and manufacturing readiness.

Requirements

• Must be presently located in the United States and be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident; H1B and visa sponsorship are not accepted.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field.
• At least 5 years of engineering experience, including a minimum of 3 years of engineering project management experience.
• Experience in manufacturing, medical devices, industrial equipment, technical products, or a related engineering environment.
• Experience leading cross-functional projects and using project management tools to manage schedules, priorities, resources, risks, and stakeholders.
• Strong organization, communication, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Nice to have

• PMP or equivalent project management certification.
• Experience in regulated manufacturing, medical imaging, ISO 13485, or MDSAP environments.
• Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
• Experience with ERP, MRP, or project portfolio management systems.
• Experience implementing tools, systems, workflows, or operational efficiency improvements.
