Electronic Security Lead Installation Technician (Access Control/CCTV)

Location: Boydton, VA 23917, USA; regular work on client construction sites, indoors and outdoors.

What you will do

• Lead and oversee Electronic Security Systems installation technicians while performing hands-on installation work.
• Install and terminate access control, CCTV, video surveillance, intercom, and related devices.
• Build racks and enclosures, IP devices, review drawings and BOMs, and test and troubleshoot completed systems.
• Manage assigned job schedules, priorities, materials, inventory, site readiness, redlines, and RFIs.
• Communicate daily with site supervisors, project managers, subcontractors, general contractors, and electrical contractors.
• Train and coach technicians, identify project issues, and make independent onsite decisions.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of recent hands-on experience installing access control and video surveillance cameras in large-scale commercial environments.
• Experience supervising, training, and providing feedback to other technicians.
• Working knowledge of Genetec, Avigilon, Lenel, AMAG, S2, Honeywell, Software House, Bosch, or DMP systems.
• Knowledge of mechanical retrofitting for electric locking hardware, network interfaces, IP cameras, intercoms, switches, and PC administrator-level configuration.
• Ability to use Teams, Outlook, OneNote, Bluebeam, and Adobe Reader and interpret project drawings, matrices, BOMs, SRDs, RFIs, redlines, and safety documents.
• Clean driving and criminal records, eligibility to hold local security clearance or registration, and an active passport or ability to obtain one and travel regularly are required.

Nice to have

• Lenel certification or experience.
• Experience with data centers and new construction.
