Physical Security Engineer (Video Surveillance/Access Control/Integration)

What you will do

• Collaborate with sales, estimation, engineering, service, CAD, and field technician teams to design and implement customer and bid-specific security solutions.
• Review proposals, blueprints, specifications, stakeholder input, labor requirements, materials, and timelines to support accurate estimation and delivery.
• Conduct pre-engineering site walks and travel to job sites for post-engineering reviews, stakeholder discussions, and bill-of-material verification.
• Provide technical documentation and support project closeout documentation with the CAD department.
• Support field technicians with product knowledge, best practices, programming, and installation guidance.
• Commission completed systems and train end users.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Active industry certifications.
• At least five years of engineering experience in a business-to-business, large or strategic customer segment.
• Experience with video surveillance software and hardware, including Qognify Ocularis, Milestone XProtect, Avigilon ACC, Wisenet WAVE, Verkada, Eagle Eye Cloud VMS, security cameras, and servers.
• Experience with access control and intercom hardware, including Hirsch/Identiv, Brivo, Avigilon ACM, SALTO, Keyscan, Axis/2N, and Aiphone.
• Understanding of low-voltage systems and communication protocols, plus project coordination, technical communication, Microsoft Word, and Excel skills.

Nice to have

• High-level understanding of data center virtualization and Windows system administration.
• Experience with VMware vSphere, Cisco switches, and HPE/Aruba switches.
