Field Service Technician (Security Systems)

Location: Savannah, Georgia, United States; Monday–Friday overnight travel within a designated service radius of approximately 150–250 miles is required.

Hourly compensation: $27.00–$30.00 per hour, determined by experience, skills, travel requirements, and geographical location. Approximate year-end earnings are $65,000–$85,000 including base pay and average overtime.

What you will do

• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and system upgrades at customer sites.
• Support site planning, jurisdictional compliance, inspections, and system commissioning after construction.
• Organize service calls and routes to complete maintenance and repairs on schedule.
• Build customer relationships through service, training, and technical support.
• Maintain inventory, service reports, documentation, and expense reports.
• Travel safely to service locations and assist other Field Service Technicians when needed.

Requirements

• Availability for weekly Monday–Friday travel and overnight stays is required.
• Valid driver’s license.
• At least two years of hands-on experience troubleshooting and installing systems.
• Ability to lift and maneuver heavy objects, climb ladders up to 30 feet, and operate aerial lifts, concrete saws, jackhammers, augers, mixers, and similar equipment.
• Strong system analysis and troubleshooting skills with basic mathematics proficiency.

Nice to have

• Experience with access control systems or fire alarms.
• OSHA certification or familiarity with OSHA compliance.
