Senior Physical Security Project Manager (Physical Security)

Location: Oakland, California, United States; field-facing work requires travel to active job sites.

Salary: $120,600–$166,400 annually.

What you will do

• Plan and manage the full lifecycle of physical security infrastructure projects, including schedules, budgets, resources, and PMO documentation.
• Conduct site assessments and validate designs, architectural drawings, installation conditions, and environmental risks.
• Coordinate installation, testing, and commissioning of access control, CCTV, alarm, intercom, and low-voltage systems.
• Manage subcontractors, integrators, vendors, and technicians against scope, quality standards, and milestones.
• Lead field operations with OSHA, PPE, quality, and trade-sequencing requirements.
• Track costs, manage risks and issues, prepare change orders, and maintain project closeout documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Project Management, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience and training.
• At least 7 years of experience managing physical security infrastructure or low-voltage installation projects.
• Strong knowledge of access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, and perimeter security systems, including AMAG, Software House, Genetec, or Avigilon.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings, architectural blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications.
• Experience with enterprise project management tools, scheduling software, and PMO documentation practices.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to active job sites, with strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• PMP, PSP, CPP, or manufacturer-specific integration certifications.
• Experience with general contractors, commercial integrators, or enterprise corporate security teams.
• Background in electrical systems, low-voltage trades, or field construction sequencing.
