Senior Manager, Global Digital & Technology Systems Engineering (AI)

Location: Remote (US); some travel is expected.

Salary: $136,900–$181,900 annually, plus bonus eligibility, equity opportunities, and comprehensive benefits.

What you will do

• Execute systems engineering activities across R&D systems, hybrid cloud, SaaS platforms, integrations, HPC environments, containers, data lakes, and pipelines.
• Coordinate technical designs, deployments, integrations, lifecycle activities, issue resolution, and operational handoffs with Enterprise IT, vendors, and R&D stakeholders.
• Implement observability practices including monitoring, telemetry, alerting, dashboards, runbooks, and supportability controls.
• Implement RAG architectures, vector-store integrations, semantic retrieval, secure AI gateways, agentic workflows, and multimodal integration patterns.
• Apply cybersecurity, identity, data protection, GxP, CSV, and 21 CFR Part 11 controls across assigned systems.
• Maintain technical plans, risk logs, architecture documentation, validation inputs, implementation checklists, and support materials.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or above and 3+ years of relevant professional experience in systems engineering, cloud, infrastructure, integration, AI, data, or related technical delivery.
• Hands-on programming experience with Python and SQL; working knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Experience with Bash or PowerShell, REST APIs, JSON/XML, authentication, AWS and/or Azure, containers, Kubernetes, and infrastructure automation.
• Knowledge of Git, CI/CD, DevOps, Linux, HPC, observability, incident management, and platform lifecycle practices.
• Applied experience with ML/AI/genAI patterns including RAG, embeddings, vector databases, semantic search, AI gateways, and agentic orchestration.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional, vendor, Enterprise IT, cybersecurity, compliance, and R&D stakeholders in regulated environments.

Nice to have

• Pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or medical device industry experience.
• Familiarity with R, Java, C#, Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, or similar technologies.
