Commissioning Engineer (Energy Storage)

Location: Germany - Remote; travel up to 80% of the time is required.

What you will do

• Coordinate with stakeholders to commission projects safely, on schedule, within budget, and to required quality standards.
• Lead the safety culture and apply the established safety management system.
• Create commissioning plans and schedules for large EPC projects.
• Commission projects in cooperation with construction managers, contractors, suppliers, telecommunications teams, and control systems teams.
• Define and execute testing protocols based on market rules, utility requirements, off-taker agreements, and third-party supply contracts.
• Implement regional and global commissioning processes and provide feedback for continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree required, preferably in engineering, chemistry, physics, mathematics, or another technical field.
• At least 2 years of experience in a similar commissioning role.
• Experience leading safety efforts in an operational environment.
• Structured technical problem-solving and complex analytical skills.
• Experience with project reporting and management, work execution, change management, workforce planning, and business process management.
• Fluency in German and English required. Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder-management skills are also required.

Nice to have

• Experience with SAP or equivalent reporting systems.
