Senior Fund Accountant, Private Markets (Investran)

Location: Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada; hybrid working

What you will do

• Prepare and maintain general ledgers and supporting schedules for private equity funds using Investran.
• Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements under IFRS, US GAAP, and ASPE.
• Process capital calls, distributions, NAV calculations, investor reporting, management fee, and carried interest computations.
• Reconcile bank accounts, intercompany balances, and investment transactions.
• Support audits and tax processes by coordinating with auditors, tax advisors, clients, and internal teams.
• Improve Investran workflows, review junior team members' work, and resolve client and stakeholder queries.

Requirements

• University degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in fund administration or audit.
• Experience with private equity structures and Investran or other accounting software.
• CPA, ACCA, or an equivalent professional accounting designation preferred or in progress.
• Ability to work effectively with clients, auditors, tax advisors, and internal stakeholders.
