Senior Audit Manager, Personal Business and Banking

Location: Toronto, ON; hybrid work arrangement with 1–3 days per week on-site at Toronto-81 Bay

What you will do

• Plan, lead, and execute risk-based operational audits of medium and large-complexity businesses.
• Manage audit engagements through planning, fieldwork, execution, and reporting.
• Assess business processes, inherent risks, internal controls, control deficiencies, and their potential impact.
• Prepare audit reports and secure management commitment to realistic, long-term corrective actions.
• Advise senior and executive management on risk, control, regulatory, and efficiency matters.
• Collaborate with audit leaders and team members to improve audit methodologies and processes.

Requirements

• Legal eligibility to work in Canada at the specified location, with a valid work or study permit where applicable.
• 5–10 years of audit or related experience, including planning and executing risk-based operational audits.
• Knowledge of audit practices, risk assessment, control, and deficiency methodologies.
• Understanding of laws and regulatory requirements related to retail banking within a large financial institution.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business, Accounting, or Finance.
• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, written communication, verbal communication, and stakeholder-management skills.

Nice to have

• Professional designation such as CPA, CIA, or MBA, or equivalent business experience.
