Senior Accountant

Location: On-site in Milton, Ontario, Canada

Salary: CAD 100,000–140,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, variance analysis, and financial reporting.
• Manage balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls while investigating discrepancies.
• Prepare schedules and documentation for annual corporate tax filings.
• Oversee payroll processing for hirify.global’s Canadian operations, including audits and compliance.
• Improve accounting workflows and internal controls to increase efficiency and accuracy.
• Partner with cross-functional teams on financial analysis, reporting, and business insights.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• CPA designation.
• 7+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate setting.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with HRIS systems such as Workday.
