Financial Accountant

Location: Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada

Salary: CAD 70,000–80,000 per year

What you will do

• Support financial reporting and compliance for multiple entities.
• Process monthly journal entries and ensure transactions are adequately supported and SOX compliant.
• Prepare and reconcile monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Perform monthly profit and loss and balance sheet analysis, investigate variances, and provide commentary to senior management.
• Manage competing deadlines and coordinate with corporate finance, FP&A, financial operations, and external audit stakeholders.
• Contribute to business process improvements, systems implementation, and close-process optimization.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of relevant accounting or finance experience preferred.
• At least two years of financial accounting and analysis experience in a large, international, complex, publicly traded organization.
• Undergraduate degree in business, finance, accounting, or an equivalent field.
• CPA designation or progress toward completion.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software; Oracle experience is an asset.
• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
