Site Safety Manager (Construction)

Location: Remote, United States — projects in Augusta and Atlanta, Georgia; travel, site visits, and on-call response required

What you will do

• Prepare site-specific safety plans, Accident Prevention Plans, Activity Hazard Analyses, and activity hazard reviews.
• Oversee safety compliance for construction and project operations, including OSHA, EPA, hirify.global, and contract standards.
• Conduct site audits, inspections, safety training, quarterly safety meetings, and follow-up reviews of open items.
• Review subcontractor safety qualifications and participate in pre-construction meetings.
• Lead accident and incident investigations and develop corrective action plans.
• Collaborate with project supervision to resolve safety issues and maintain a positive safety culture.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Health, Engineering, or a related discipline, or at least five years of related experience in lieu of the degree, plus a high school diploma or equivalent.
• At least five years of experience in commercial, government, or industrial safety management.
• EM-385 certification and current First Aid, CPR, OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety, and relevant industry certifications.
• Experience developing and managing Accident Prevention Plans and Activity Hazard Analyses.
• Ability to review confidential US security information and work on US-based projects.
• Valid driver’s license, strong communication skills, and ability to travel and provide on-call response.

Nice to have

• CHST, CSP, ASP, CSHO, or equivalent professional safety certification.
• Experience with USACE, NAVFAC, AFCEC, or other Department of Defense construction contracts.
• Experience with electronic safety management systems and digital reporting.
