Associate IT Solution Engineer

Location: Concord, California; remote work with onsite presence as needed. Candidates must be local to the region and able to travel occasionally within one business day, up to 3 hours each way.

Salary: $124,800 annually.

What you will do

• Assist with technology platform solution designs and implementation approaches based on IT standards.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, product specialists, and technologists to align physical designs with logical blueprints.
• Support projects throughout business-case estimation, planning, analysis, design, build, testing, and deployment.
• Analyze business requirements and support buy-versus-build decisions.
• Promote reusable technical solutions, components, and services across enterprise initiatives.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Foundational exposure to IT engineering design, technical project implementation, or IT project management.
• Ability to learn utility business areas, process design, information modeling, and system architecture quickly.
• Familiarity with process improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma.
• Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Must be local to the Concord region and available for occasional onsite presence and travel.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.
• PMP certification or another relevant technical certification.
• Experience in the utility or energy sector.
