Senior System Engineer

Location: Hanscom AFB, Massachusetts; duty stationed at Hanscom AFB

Salary: $125,000–$140,000 annually, depending on experience, certifications, and qualifications.

What you will do

• Provide systems engineering support across the acquisition lifecycle, from requirements analysis through system disposal.
• Serve on a Mission Integration Team supporting system-of-systems architecture design and development.
• Translate operational and functional requirements into technical requirements and acquisition strategies.
• Define current and future-state architectures and support interoperability across sensors, shooters, PEOs, weapon systems, and coalition partners.
• Conduct operational analysis, risk assessments, trade-space analysis, and modeling, simulation, and analysis activities.
• Develop verification and validation plans, test matrices, and evaluation strategies with acquisition and test organizations.

Requirements

• Must be a US citizen.
• Must have and be able to maintain an active Top Secret clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
• Ten years of directly related experience, including five years in a Department of Defense setting, preferred.
• Experience with requirements management and traceability, System Requirements Documents, DoD architecture frameworks, the systems engineering V-model, and DoD acquisition principles.
• Practical MBSE, SysML modeling, digital engineering, verification planning, and cross-functional stakeholder engagement experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with Cameo/MagicDraw, DOORS, Jira, cloud-based systems, Agile, CI/CD, DevSecOps, and DevOps.
• Knowledge of UAF, DoDAF, DoDI 5000.02, and DoDI 5000.75.
• Ability to translate technical specifications into operational impacts and develop structural, behavioral, and parametric system models.
