Project Engineer

Location: Charleston, West Virginia; position based in Point Pleasant, West Virginia

hirify.global is a large general contractor delivering heavy civil and industrial construction projects for private and public-sector clients, including highways, bridges, utilities, water and wastewater facilities, and marine construction.

What you will do

• Coordinate civil industrial and large-scale utility projects from planning through execution.
• Review plans and specifications, interpret contracts, and coordinate submittals, working drawings, reports, and project documentation.
• Maintain CPM schedules, monthly updates, two-week look-ahead plans, and long-range planning with the project team.
• Monitor job costs, productivity, production budgets, quantities, billings, cash-flow projections, subcontractor requisitions, and vendor invoices.
• Support change-order and claims pricing and settlement with the Project Manager.
• Inspect construction sites, verify conformance with engineering and safety standards, and maintain utility-notification and subcontractor-insurance compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management from a four-year college or university.
• At least 2 years of experience in a related field.
• Field experience monitoring construction progress and compliance with plans, specifications, and safety standards.
• Proficiency with CPM scheduling programs such as Primavera Project Planner and with Microsoft Office software.
• Experience with cost and productivity data, project budgets, billing, and forecasting.
• Clear professional verbal and written communication, analytical skills, and the ability to solve practical project problems.
