Product Cost Specialist - Operations, Lund

Location: Lund, Sweden; the role includes some international travel.

What you will do

• Negotiate and approve product cost quotations from contract manufacturers throughout the product life cycle.
• Identify and drive cost reduction activities by analyzing quotation data and relevant cost drivers.
• Coordinate with contract manufacturers to implement negotiated component prices in product quotations.
• Maintain product and component databases and create benchmarks for pricing and cost reduction activities.
• Support RFQ processes for new products and provide cost-structure input to product development.
• Optimize purchasing parameters such as order quantities, demand changes, and delivery terms, while contributing to process and IT-tool improvements.

Requirements

• Degree in Industrial Economy or Business Administration.
• At least 5 years of supply chain or sourcing experience in international manufacturing companies.
• At least 2 years of business negotiation experience with a proven track record.
• Experience analyzing large amounts of data.
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills.
• Excellent spoken and written English.

• Experience working with ERP systems.
• Knowledge of business cultures in different parts of the world.
