Assistant Counsel, Commercial & CMC Contracting (Biotech/Pharmaceutical)

Location: Warsaw, Poland; hybrid 70/30 work model with 70% in-office collaboration

What you will do

• Partner with senior lawyers and cross-functional stakeholders on commercial, CMC, procurement, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and contracting matters.
• Act as a legal escalation point for buy-side contracts, including supplier, procurement, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain negotiations.
• Support sell-side, commercial, and private market contract escalations and resolve non-standard legal, commercial, and operational issues.
• Draft, review, and negotiate complex contracts supporting biotech and pharmaceutical operations.
• Review promotional and marketing materials and related communications for legal, regulatory, and company alignment.
• Identify opportunities to simplify, digitize, and improve legal workflows using Generative AI and other digital tools.

Requirements

• Full legal qualification and a university law degree.
• 6+ years of relevant experience in-house and/or in a law firm.
• Experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex contracts in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry.
• Experience with commercial, procurement, supply chain, manufacturing, quality, or CMC-related contracting is strongly preferred.
• Strong judgment, integrity, independence, communication, organization, and time-management skills.
• English proficiency is required for global collaboration.
