Buyer III (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Execute and optimize purchasing processes, including procure-to-pay activities and procurement transactions.
• Manage supplier demand forecasting, capacity planning, replenishment, inventory, and on-time delivery performance.
• Monitor purchasing metrics such as past-due purchase orders, acknowledgements, expedites, material returns, and invoice resolution.
• Identify preferred suppliers and recommend cost-saving initiatives, including make-versus-buy analysis, alternative sourcing, volume pricing, and vendor evaluation.
• Plan inventory levels using plan for every part (PFEP) and resolve issues that delay material deliveries.
• Coordinate engineering change orders with suppliers and internal functions while serving as an SAP super user.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent supply chain experience in a similar environment.
• At least 3 years of purchasing, planning, or related experience in manufacturing.
• Experience managing shifting deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and strong analytical and project management skills.
• Problem-solving, contract negotiation, and effective verbal and written communication skills.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or Supply Chain Management.
• Experience with SAP, Oracle, or another ERP/MRP system.
• APICS association membership or Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) certification.
