EDM Technician II (Aerospace)

Location: Long Beach, California, United States; onsite at hirify.global headquarters. B Shift: Monday–Thursday, 3:15 p.m.–1:45 a.m.

Hourly pay range: $25–$35 USD.

What you will do

• Set up and operate wire EDM machinery to manufacture precision components.
• Select and load machine programs and enter required operating parameters.
• Inspect machined parts with calipers, height gauges, indicators, and other precision measuring tools.
• Read dimensional specifications and verify compliance with quality standards.
• Perform routine cleaning, preventative maintenance, and equipment upkeep.
• Work across production floors, equipment areas, and field locations while following operational and safety requirements.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience operating a wire EDM machine.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints.
• Practical understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Experience in R&D, prototyping, or high-mix manufacturing environments.
• Ability to work the B Shift and remain onsite in Long Beach, California.
• For U.S. office roles, eligibility to meet ITAR requirements is required, including U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residence, qualifying refugee or asylum status, or applicable government authorization.

Nice to have

• Experience in a fast-paced production environment.
• Knowledge of wire EDM materials such as aluminum, titanium, Monel, and Inconel.
• Familiarity with additive manufacturing equipment and processes.
• Experience with inventory management and heat treatment operations.
