TL;DR
Assembler II (Nuclear): Assembling and testing small, intricate components and configured products for nuclear instrumentation and control solutions with an accent on precision manufacturing, technical drawings, specialized tooling, and quality verification. Focus on operating assembly equipment, performing rework and repairs, incorporating engineering changes, and supporting prototype and customer-return evaluations.

Location: Round Rock, Texas, United States — onsite. Candidates must be a U.S. Person and may be subject to export-control security screening.

Salary: $22.00–$24.00 per hour

What you will do

  • Assemble components, subassemblies, and configured products using drawings, instructions, tooling, fixtures, measuring equipment, and hand tools.
  • Read and interpret assembly drawings, parts lists, operation sheets, visual aids, and standard work instructions.
  • Set up and operate automatic preparation, loading, insertion, and related assembly equipment.
  • Perform rework after test failures and incorporate Engineering Change Notices into completed assemblies.
  • Verify product quality and completed-work accuracy at required intervals.
  • Support prototype fabrication and testing, production, engineering, sales, and evaluation and repair of customer-returned units.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent, technical certificate, or equivalent experience.
  • Typically 2–4 years of assembly, production, manufacturing, or related experience.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, work instructions, parts lists, and operating procedures.
  • Experience using tools, fixtures, measuring equipment, or manufacturing processes.
  • Strong documentation, teamwork, mechanical aptitude, and attention to detail.
  • Must qualify as a U.S. Person due to the nature of the work.

Nice to have

  • Experience with manual or power tools, machining equipment, lathes, drills, mills, threaders, saws, bead blasters, or sanders.
  • Experience with welding, brazing, micro-TIG welding, laser welding, or spot welding.
